About Trophy Lake Estates

Grant and three of his girls after the first ski on TLE I

"Trophy Lake Estates is about loving the choices you make. You can count on spending lots of time playing with the kids and grandchildren."

I first experienced a man-made recreational lake designed for water sports at a national water skiing event twenty years ago. Since that time, my family and I have had the opportunity to see and participate in water sports activities on numerous private man-made lakes throughout the continental US. The water quality in these lakes rivals some of the best natural lakes here in Minnesota. During this same time, a dream was born to create a family oriented recreational development that appealed to many recreational interests. The dream became reality in July of 2000 with the ground breaking for Trophy Lake Estates (TLE). Today, my family and I, as well as several other families with lots and homes at TLE, are enjoying a very unique family oriented environment. It’s a spot our kids love to come home to, especially with friends, because of the wide open spaces and a wide variety of stimulating activities to keep them busy.

What we learned from TLE I, is that the new lakeshore in the form of new residential lots is a great value when compared to public lakeshore. The perfect private environment for skiing, tubing, knee boarding, wake boarding, tennis, basketball, volley ball, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, swimming, rollerblading, walking, running, biking, and ice skating, all for about half the per foot price of purchasing an equivalent lot on a less than perfect and often noisy public lake. We have also learned that private lakes can be managed to maintain excellent water quality. On a public lake, very minimal management to kill weeds and maintain shoreline is allowed by the DNR and building boat houses and permanent docks is definitely out of the question.

We invite you to browse our web site, to come and visit at TLE and to call with your questions. Then we invite you to come and join the fun with other active neighbors that simply love the outdoors.
